Great Thanksgiving art project for older students! Have your students create this 3D pumpkin out of foam board to use as a beautiful display for Thanksgiving!
Goal: To create a 3-D sculpture for Thanksgiving. Students will cut out the template, trace it onto the foam board, learn to cut out thick foam board, and use hot glue to assemble the pieces to build the sculpture. Then they will paint it and glue on a banner.
Students will be working with scissors, thick materials, hot glue guns, etc. so this is best for Grades 5 and up to High School. For younger grades, an adult can assemble it, and then have your students do the painting.
Time: 4 x 30 minutes +50 minutes. 2 hrs 50 minutes total (approximately, this really depends on your class skill level and clean up times)
